2019 ‘Sapphires to Sand’ Trek

It will be a great week in the bush!

Starting in Gloucester NSW… a charming country town known as the gateway to the Barrington Tops.  Mount Barrington is an ancient volcano which erupted between 44 and 54 million years ago and covered much of the Barrington Tops plateau, resulting in some of Australia’s finest gemstones such as sapphires and rubies being found in the area.

We then venture through some spectacular countryside with a good mix of roads… of course there will be dirt (and plenty of it), some roads will be tight and windy, we may encounter some sandy obstacles and no doubt we’ll get our long open stretches a well.

Our night stops will be Mudgee, Armidale, Coffs Harbour for lay day, Wauchope, South West Rocks and finishing in Tuncurry, where Wallis Lake meets the Tasman Sea.  Tuncurry is well known for it’s good surfing and enclosed swimming rockpool.

It’s guaranteed to be a ‘Fat’ week with lots of ‘You Beauty’ moments!  So if you want to be part of the weeks action register NOW… spots are limited.
